The San Jose Sharks signed center Manny Malhotra to an undisclosed contract on Wednesday.

Malhotra, 29, is a 12-year veteran and is coming off a career-high 35-point season with the Columbus Blue Jackets.

The face-off specialist has compiled 76 goals and 121 assists in 634 career games with Dallas, Columbus and the New York Rangers, who selected him with the seventh overall pick of the 1998 Draft.
