Chicago's Kane, cousin plead guilty to noncriminal charge

The Sports Network

Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane and his cousin, James Kane, pleaded guilty to a noncriminal charge of disorderly conduct stemming from an incident in which the two assaulted a cab driver.

The two were given conditional discharges, meaning they will avoid any penalties so long as they stay out of trouble. Also, they were ordered by Buffalo City Court judge Thomas P. Amodeo to send a written apology to the cab driver they were accused of assaulting

Kane and his cousin were arrested on August 9 following a dispute with Buffalo cab driver, Jan Radecki. He told the police he was punched in the face and grabbed by the throat after he couldn't provide twenty cents worth of change for their fare.

The 20-year-old player and 21-year-old cousin were originally charged with misdemeanor assault, theft and harassment.
