The annual Soul Bowl was a tale of two halves. Blanche Ely won the first. Dillard won the second, but Ely did did just enough to hold on for a 34-21 victory Saturday in front of a crowd of 8,000 at Lockhart Stadium.

Deerfield Beach opened its new stadium in style Saturday night.
In its first true home game in two years, Deerfield Beach put on a dominating performance against Douglas to claim the District 9-6A title with a 42-6 victory at Butler Stadium. -

St. Thomas Aquinas rolls past South Broward 51-7

The name Devon Wright and shutdown are not words that have been used often, but thats exactly what happened Friday night as Northeast shut down Wright and in turn beat Taravella 23-6 to inch closer to its first playoff berth since 1995.
