TEAMS OF THE WEEK

• American Heritage boys' basketball: Kenny Boynton Jr. had a game-high 28 points and eight rebounds, and FAU recruit Ray Taylor added 21 points and seven assists, leading the Patriots past reigning Massachusetts Division 1 state champion Central Catholic 82-77 on Saturday in the Hall of Fame Classic. American Heritage (13-4, ranked No. 2 in 3A) also got nine points and eight rebounds from junior 6-8 forward Remi Barry.

TOP PERFORMERS

• Frank Pettineo, Cardinal Gibbons, wrestling: Pettineo pinned Cypress Bay's Alex Dahl to win the 145-pound title and lead the Chiefs to it's 11th BCAA title in 12 years.

• Cedric Flood, Boyd Anderson, boys' basketball: Flood scored a team-high 18 points to lead the Cobras (17-0, ranked No. 14 in ESPN Rise poll) past Austin Rivers-led Winter Park (ranked No. 27) 66-60.

• Venton Wilder, Cypress Bay, boys' basketball: Wilder had a game-high 21 points, including the game-winning free throw with 35.6 seconds left, in a 56-55 road upset of Miramar.

• Robert Burger, Dillard, boys' basketball: Burger had a team-high 20 points in a 79-66 road victory over Deerfield Beach.

• Jassany Williams, Nova, girls' basketball: Williams had a team-high 18 points, including 11 in a pivotal 17-4 third-quarter run, to lead Titans past host Winter Haven 55-46.

• Dawnn Maye, Dillard, girls' basketball: Maye scored a game-high 21 points in a 40-34 victory over reigning 4A state champion Orlando Bishop Moore.

• Kynesha Hepburn, Miramar, girls' basketball: Hepburn scored a game-high 17 points in a 57-48 victory over Palm Beach Central.

• Krystal Saunders, South Broward, girls' basketball: Saunders scored a game-high 15 points in a 59-30 victory over American Heritage.

• Erica Wheeler, Parkway Academy, girls' basketball: Wheeler had a game-high 23 points and six assists in a 74-44 victory over host Blanche Ely.

• Katherine Rosario, Flanagan, girls' basketball: Rosario had a team-high 24 points in a 68-62 road upset of Cooper City.

• Brittany McDowell, St. Thomas Aquinas, girls' soccer: McDowell had three goals and two assists in a 7-0 victory over Tallahassee Chiles.
