Ferguson boys' soccer team stays unbeaten

The Ferguson boys' soccer team defeated Southwest 1-0 Monday to remain undefeated on the season.

Jonathan Lima scored the game-winning goal for the Falcons (7-0-1). Rodrigo Koerning contributed an assist and played good defense.

BOYS' SOCCER

• Hialeah 2, Miami Beach 1: Jorge Palma had one goal. Jorge Cura had one goal. Felipe Matallana allowed one goal. Hia 7-2-1.

• Sunset 4, Braddock 0: Danilo Valverde had one goal and one assist. Diego Fuentes had one goal and one assist. Danny Gonzalez had one goal. Sun 4-5-2.

• Mater 1, Miami Christian 0: Abraham Buraye had one goal. Mario Martinez had one assist. Nick Suarez had his third shutout. Mat 3-7.

• Ransom Everglades 5, Doral 1: Nic Bergengruen had one goal. Francesco Pittaluga had one goal. Mike Lloret had two assists. RE 5-6.

• Miami Country Day 2, Westminster Christian 0: Tyrone Serrao had one goal. Axel Halvorssen had one goal. Adam Holsing had four saves and a shutout. MCD 7-1-1.

• Belen 1, Westland 0: Thomislave Belfranini led the Wolverines (9-0-3), scoring the game-winning goal.

• Columbus 4, Southwest 1: Pietro Macchierela led the Explorers (9-1-1) with a goal and an assist. Francisco Chamoro added two goals. Andres Ruiz had a goal.

• Florida Charter 3, Mater Lakes 0: Tyler Reese led the Patriots (7-1-3) with a goal and an assist. Michael Mendez and Grisham Aleyon each had a goal.

• Pace 3, Palmer Trinity 1: Michael Rosado led the Spartans (7-4-0) with a goal and an assist. Lucas Garcia and Stephen Horsford each added a goal.

• Miam Springs 7, Central 0: Goalkeeper Christian Lycke led the Golden Hawks (6-1), recording his fourth shutout of the season. Kevin Cobas and Clinton McGee played good defense.

• Dade Christian 4, Archbishop Curley 2: Leading the way for the Crusaders (7-1-1) was Leo Estabribis with two goals and one assist. George Naranjo and Sandy Pasquelli both added one goal.

• Saturday -- Belen 2, Key West 1: Jose Ferriero and Carlos Garcia-Velez led the Wolverines (8-0-3) with a goal each.

GIRLS' SOCCER

• American 3, Goleman 2: Laura Coco had one goal. Jenny Hernandez had one goal. Krystal Romero had one goal. Ame 10-0-3.

• Mater 8, Westland Hialeah 0: Monica Lozano had three goals and two assists. Lily Lopez had two goals and one assist. Camila Versaje had one goal and one assist. Mat 9-5-1.

• Westminster Christian 2, Miami Country Day 0: Ceci Colon had one goal and one assist. Stephanie Golik had one goal. Kristina Patchen had one assist. WC 7-0-1.

• University 6, Trinity 0: Raquelle Newman had two goals and an assist. Erica Wilner had one goal and one assist. Stephanie Gore had one goal. Uni 10-2-1.

• Ferguson 6, Coral Park 1: Michelle Pena and Alexia Garcia led the Falcons (7-0-2), as they both scored two goals. Natalie Martinez also contributed one goal.

• Hialeah 2, Miami Beach 1: Belkys Cruz led the way for the T-Breds (8-1-1), scoring two goals. Wendy Gil and Aida Perasa both played tough defense to aid the victory.

• Lourdes 4, Coral Gables 0: Andrea de Ona, Gaby Casariego, Grace Cervoni and Danielle Esnard led the Bobcats (8-1-1) with a goal each.

• St. Brendan 8, Edison 0: Christy Obregon led the Sabres (7-3-2) with three goals. Sophie Santalo and Albania Sagarra each had two goals.
