Burgs, Logan lead Pine Crest to victory
The Pine Crest boys' soccer team defeated St. Andrews on Monday 5-1.
Kyle Burgs led the Panthers (6-1-2) with one goal and an assist. Andrew Logan also contributed a goal and an assist. Matt O'Conner played tough defense.
BOYS' SOCCER
St. Thomas 5, Jackson 0: Kevin Alexander led the Raiders (6-0-2) with two goals and an assist. Shane Alexander had a goal, and Matt Denuzzo had a goal.
Flanagan 2, Nova 1: Sergio Lincona and Juan Raad both scored to lead the Falcons (4-5-3).
Hollywood Hills 1, Pompano Beach 0: Sheliden Renard led the Spartans (8-1-1) scoring the game winning goal. Goalkeepers Marlon Mendez and Kevin Brito combined for the shut out.
GIRLS' SOCCER
St. Thomas 8, Jackson 0: Sarah Jake had two goals and an assist. Katrina Giordano had two goals. Megan Sweeny had one goal. STA 10-1.
Coral Glades 2, Dwyer 1: Leading the way for the Jaguars (4-9) was Kayla Dluback, who had a goal and an assist. Rachel Nemeth added an assist.
Sagemont 3, Hillel 1: Jessica Jahoda led the Lions (3-3-0) with two goals. Kristina Jahoda played good defense and Valeria Tascon added a goal.
Calvary Christian 3, Posnak 1: Rachel Carlton led the Eagles (6-3-0) with three goals. Teresa Glass played good defense and goalkeeper Brianna Shiffer had nine saves.
