ROUNDUP
BA defeats Plantation; Northeast gets win

Boyd Anderson got the chance Thursday night to right all the wrongs of this season with a victory against Plantation.
The Cobras did that by dominating the Colonels in a 29-0 victory at Boyd Anderson putting them in the drivers seat to win the District 10-6A championship.
The difference in the game was converting in the red zone.
The Cobras (3-4, 2-0) put the ball in the end zone while Plantation failed to score on two drives that went inside the Boyd Anderson 5-yard line.
After the Cobras took a 7-0 lead on a 21-yard touchdown run by John Wallace, who was about the only player on the field that had any balance in the first quarter, that was set up by a Plantation turnover early less than three minutes into the game, the Colonels found themselves ready to tie the score midway through the second.
But James McFadden was stuffed on back-to-back runs, and an incomplete pass set up what looked like a chip-shot, 22-yard field goal.
But the kick never had a chance, preserving the Cobras' lead.
The Cobras responded driving 80 yards on seven plays pushing their lead to 14-0 on a 2-yard touchdown run by Wallace. Jackie Wilsons 36-yard run on a quarterback draw and a 32-yard screen pass from Wilson to Wallace on third-and-8 from the Plantation 34 set up the touchdown. Wallace had 14 carries for 61 yards. He also had one catch for 32 yards.
''It helped a lot,'' Wallace said about getting on top early. ``The defense did a good job. The offense did a good job. My job was easy.''
Plantation (5-3, 1-1) looked as if it would cut into the lead again in the third quarter as it drove to the Boyd Anderson 1-yard line on 10 plays, but, on the 11th play, quarterback Imonni Carswell fumbled the snap. Boyd Anderson recovered, ending the threat.
That fumble took the breath out of the Colonels, who could not mount another offensive threat the rest of the way.
Booker T. 59, Nova 0: Torrance Moise threw three touchdown passes, Eduardo Clements rushed for two, and Booker T. Washington hammered Novain a district 16-4A match-up.
Moise, who connected with six different receivers on a rainy night at Curtis Park, threw for 125 yards to help Booker (5-2, 2-0) extend its victory streak to five.
Nova (2-5, 0-3) couldn't gain momentum and committed five turnovers, giving Booker favorable field advantage on each occasion. Booker took advantage and scored on four of the ensuing drives.
Booker's offense rolled and scored on eight of its 10 possessions. Moise hooked up with Lynden Trail, Quinton Dunbar and Ricky Delancy for touchdowns and completed nine of his 11 passing attempts.
''When our offense is clicking, everything works,'' Booker T. coach Earl Tillman said. ``And it was clicking.''
That's a good sign for Booker as it prepares for Hallandale (5-2, 2-0) in a district matchup next Friday.
''We want to make it to the playoffs, and we have to do it by making sure everyone's on the same page,'' Moise said. ``I think we showed that.''
Junior Willie Williams also had two rushing touchdowns.

Northeast 21, Stranahan 6: After failing to generate offense for a half, Northeast suddenly produced a third quarter that might have kept its slim playoff hopes alive in a District 15-5A game against Stranahan.Even the defense got involved in the scoring as the Hurricanes exploded for 21 unanswered points in the third quarter at Lockhart Stadium.
