Fernandez lifts Lourdes volleyball to victory

The Lourdes Bobcats start the season 2-0 as they cruised to victory over the Coral Gables Cavaliers 25-14, 25-21, 25-19. Olivia Fernandez led the way with nine kills, two blocks and two aces. Katherine Zamora had 20 assists, nine service points and five digs. Stef Wemple chipped in with nine service points and 11 digs.

GIRLS' VOLLEYBALL

• Miami Beach d. Northwestern 25-18, 25-17, 25-10: Alexandria Camps led the Hi-Tides (2-0) with 12 assists and seven aces. Kelly Sutter added 11 aces and two kills. Stephanie D'Angelo had eight kills.

• Ransom d. Mater Academy, 25-17, 15-25, 21-25, 25-17, 15-11: Jane Kislak led the Raiders (1-0) with 26 assists. Zena Stephens had 12 kills and Mchi Court-Reuss had 26 digs and five service points.

• Hialeah d. Hialeah-Miami Lakes, 25-13, 25-12, 25-12: Jasmin Wilkin led the Thoroughbreds (3-2) with 11 kills and two blocks. Maria Midrid had seven kills and eight aces. Eliana Romero had 10 assists and three aces.

• Ferguson d. Coral Park, 25-21, 25-17, 25-14: Kristin Walewski led the Falcons (1-1) had 23 assists, three kills and one ace. Danielle Pohl had 11 kills and two blocks. Mackenzie Webster had seven kills and three aces. CP 1-2.

• Westiminster Christian d. Miami Christian, 25-2, 25-14, 25-16: Ashley Chao led the Warriors (1-0) with 13 assists, five service points and three aces. Amanda Miehe had five digs, seven service points and four aces. Taylor Burchell had 10 service points and five aces.

• St. Brendan d. Key West, 25-17, 27-29, 15-11: Megan Alfonso led the Sabres (1-1) with four service points, five kills and one block. Diandra Figueroa added 11 service points, eight assists and two kills. Natalie Alatriste had eight service points, one kill and one block.

• Redland Christian d. Island Christian 25-7, 25-13, 25-10: Kaylyn Carr led the with Falcons(2-0) eight kills, 13 aces, and two assists. Karlee Carr added seven kills, six aces,eight assists. Celia McCorkle had eight aces and four assists.

• Coral Reef d. South Ridge, 25-12, 25-5, 25-13: Christie Ehrman led the Barracudas (1-0) with eight kills. Krista Bekkavold had 24 assists, while Oleni Rodriguez and Kathryn Hemsing had 15 aces each. SR 0-1.

• Miami Springs d. Miami High 25-13, 23-25, 25-14, 25-21: Danielle Lefebvre led the Golden Hawks (2-0) with 13 kills, 12 assists, and seven aces. Christie Perez added nine kills, five digs, and 15 assists. Kianna Johnson had eight kills, two aces, and a block.

• Wednesday- Miami Springs d. South Dade 25-20, 25-13, 25-20: Danielle Lefebvre led the Golden Hawks (2-0) with seven kills, 10 assits, and six aces.
