The road to Lakeland begins for Dade's top golfers, with the district tournaments Monday and Tuesday afternoons.

3. COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP

Dade's top swimming programs compete for county supremacy Thursday and Friday at Tamiami Pool with the Youth Fair Invitational.

4. MAKING STATEMENTS

Florida Christian has come up with some big road victories, but next Friday and Saturday, it will try to defend the home court at the Webster's Volleyball Invitational.

5. SMELLS LIKE ORANGES

The Junior Orange Bowl committee will hold its annual Cross-Country Invitational Friday at Larry and Penny Thompson Park.
