An assistant head football coach at Gulliver Preparatory Academy on Kendall Drive has been charged with unlawful sexual activity with a minor, accused of having sex with a 17-year-old female multiple times, Miami-Dade police said Wednesday.
Ronald Darryl Butler II, 28, was charged with two counts of unlawful sexual activity with a minor. He was arrested Sept. 4.
Police said Butler befriended the teen about a year ago. During their relationship, he had sex with her multiple times, police said.
Police did not say whether the teen was as student at the school.
Butler is no longer employed by the school, Gulliver spokeswoman Jennifer Vaida said.
Investigators asked anyone with information about the case to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
