Five things to watch next week in Dade
1. EARLY STATEMENTS
Killian thoroughly handled South Miami this week behind a complete effort on offense and defense. On Thursday at North Miami Stadium, the Cougars will face North Miami Beach, a team out to prove it is Dade's best overall.
2. AIR IT OUT
Pace's trip to Miramar last year ended in a 48-20 loss. A more experienced squad tries to upend one of Broward's top offenses on the road Friday night.
3. SERVE AND VOLLEY
Palmer Trinity will get an idea of how good its girls' volleyball team is by competing in the tough Winter Park Invitational.
4. A GOLF GATHERING
Want to catch some of the best golfers in Dade in one place? On Tuesday at the Palmetto Golf Course, Palmetto, Columbus and South Dade clash in a regular-season meet.
5. FACING THE BEST
A couple of Dade's top private school swimming teams take on the state's top program, Jacksonville Bolles, at the Bolles Invitational on Friday.
