Andre C. Fernandez's prediction: Ely 24, Northeast 8. The Tigers wrap up an undefeated regular-season campaign.

6. Columbus (8-1) vs. Killian (3-6) 7 p.m., Thur., FIU.

Andre C. Fernandez's prediction: Columbus 35, Killian 6. The Explorers should take control of this one much earlier than last season's meeting.

7. Southridge (8-0) vs. 19. Carol City (6-3) 4 p.m., Friday.

Andre C. Fernandez's prediction: Southridge 13, Carol City 6. Two playoff teams with tough defenses should provide an entertaining game.

8. Miramar (8-1) vs. Dillard (3-6) 7 p.m., Friday.

Andre C. Fernandez's prediction: Miramar 14, Dillard 2. Patriots keep on winning with defense.

9. Chaminade (9-0) vs. Hollywood Christian (4-4) 3:30 p.m., Friday.

Andre C. Fernandez's prediction: Chaminade 42, Hollywood Christian 3. The Lions should wrap up a 10-0 season before their playoff showdown with Pahokee.

11. South Dade (7-2) vs. Braddock (2-7) 7:30 p.m., Fri., Harris.

Andre C. Fernandez's prediction: South Dade 34, Braddock 6. Bucs should pick up sixth consecutive victory as they return to the playoffs.

12. Stranahan (7-2) vs. Fort Lauderdale (4-5) 7 p.m., Fri., Lockhart.

Andre C. Fernandez's prediction: Stranahan 44, Fort Lauderdale 12. A spectacular season for the Dragons continues with another big victory.

13. South Broward (8-1) vs. Piper (3-6) 7 p.m., Friday.

Andre C. Fernandez's prediction: South Broward 28, Piper 6. The Bulldogs should bounce back just in time for the playoffs.

14. American Heritage (7-2) vs. 16. Gulliver (7-2) 7:30 p.m., Friday.

Andre C. Fernandez's prediction: American Heritage 35, Gulliver 31. The Patriots have proven themselves to be one of the most explosive offensive teams in South Florida.

15. Belen (6-3) vs. University (5-4) 7 p.m., Thur., Nova.

Andre C. Fernandez's prediction: Belen 24, University 21. Expect Belen to go into playoffs with momentum after this one.

17. Archbishop McCarthy (9-0) vs. Nova (2-7) 7 p.m., Thur., Nova.

Andre C. Fernandez's prediction: Archbishop McCarthy 38, Nova 17. The Mavericks wrap up best regular season in school history.

18. North Broward Prep (7-2) vs. Doral (1-7) 7 p.m., Friday.

Andre C. Fernandez's prediction: North Broward Prep 42, Doral 3. Newly anointed District 7-2B champs shouldn't have trouble here.

20. Cardinal Gibbons (6-3) vs. Monsignor Pace (6-3) 3 p.m., Friday.

Andre C. Fernandez's prediction: Cardinal Gibbons 24, Pace 20. Pace is out, and Gibbons faces Glades Central the following week in playoffs.
