Gulliver Prep dominated host Archbishop McCarthy from start to finish in the season opener.

Senior quarterback Jowan Watson led the Raiders with 185 passing yards, three passing touchdowns and a 7-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.

“I think we did pretty well coming away with the win,” Watson said. “We still got a lot to improve upon.”

Junior running backs CJ Hasan and Cedrick Wright rushed for a combined 144 yards on 17 carries. Hasan scored on a pair of rushing touchdowns in the first half.

Mavericks junior running back Anthony Rey had 84 yards on 21 carries, but Gulliver’s defense held strong.
