Booker T. Washington principal William Aristide told the Miami Herald on Wednesday that the hiring of a new football coach to replace Tim “Ice” Harris hasn’t been finalized yet.

Aristide said Tim Harris Jr. has been given the title of interim head coach, but the official interview process to permanently find a replacement hasn't started yet.

Harris Jr., who has served as offensive coordinator for the last five seasons, is obviously considered a heavy favorite to replace his father — who recently took a position with the University of Miami football team — once the hiring process is completed.
