Mast Academy girls’ soccer wins District 15-2A final

Mariana Speckmaier scored two goals for the Mast Academy girls’ soccer team in a 4-3 victory over Ransom Everglades in the District 16-2A final on Friday night.

Nati Gilbert chipped in with a goal, and goalkeeper Raquel Perez had 23 saves.

The Makos improved to 16-2-4.

Rodrigo Silva led the Monarch boys’ with two goals and an assist in the Knights’ 4-0 victory over Everglades (8-5-5).

Gian Scalise and Gabe Cardozo also chipped in a goal for the Knights, who are 10-8-2. Shaquille Coombs has two assists, and goalkeeper Brandon Dickens made seven saves for the night in his second shutout this season.
