Before she even threw her first pitch for the upcoming softball season next February, Miami Springs pitcher Geneva Santos won't need to worry about where she's going to school.

In a ceremony in the school's media center on Wednesday morning, Santos signed up to attend the University of North Florida in Jacksonville next fall.

Santos was a Miami-Herald First-Team All-County selectee each of the last two years and last season went 9-3 on the mound with a 0.98 ERA while hitting .580 at the plate with five home runs and 44 RBI.
