Jeremiah Johnson’s 150 yards and Austin Stradford’s three touchdowns gave Mourning control for most of the game, but a last-minute punt return touchdown by Trent Gordon for 65 yards gave Miami High the victory at Curtis Park.

Miami High had to overcome a 14-point deficit in the fourth quarter. It also had overcome three fumbles and 70 penalty yards.

Quarterback Murphy Theodore kept the Stings alive with 157 yards rushing and 71 yards passing, including three total touchdowns. Jaryes Johnson also ran for 100 yards on 12 carries.

Mourning still had a chance to win the game with less than a minute to go, but their inability to pass sunk the Sharks.
