Mater Academy’s Joseph Barrocas ran for 214 yards and three touchdowns, including a 98-yarder, as the Lions beat Westland Hialeah on Friday at Milander Park.

Jamal Adjamah’s 12-yard run, in which he dove backward on second effort to find the end zone, was the backbreaker, lifting the Lions to a 27-14 lead.
Westland quarterback Romell Guerrier’s 42-yard run 2:41 into the second half cut Mater’s 13-point halftime lead to five, 19-14.
