Miami High’s Keyshawn Young scores four TDs in win over Coral Park

Young caught two touchdown passes and ran for two more in the victory, ending the night with 123 yards on offense for the Stings. On defense, he also snagged a late interception to break up a last-gasp comeback effort from the Rams.

Miami High wide receiver Keyshawn “Pie” Young scored four times to help lift the Stings over the Coral Park Rams at Curtis Park.

Young caught two touchdown passes and ran for two more in the victory, ending the night with 123 yards on offense for the Stings. On defense, he also snagged a late interception to break up a last-gasp comeback effort from the Rams.

“He’s a playmaker, and we just want to find ways to get the ball into his hands. He’s a scoring machine, that’s what he does,” Miami High coach Ivan Rosales said.

The Rams scored on their opening drive, but Miami High scored 19 unanswered points and took a 13-point lead into the second half.

Coral Park cut the lead to 26-20 in the fourth quarter, but on a potential game-winning drive, running back Marquez Davis fumbled and Miami High recovered. Less than a minute later, Young made Coral Park pay with a 49-yard run to clinch the game.
