Late TDs lead Sunset to win over Hialeah Gardens

Usually on the short end of a running clock by the time the fourth quarter starts, Hialeah Gardens (0-4) found itself with a shot at its first win since 2010. It was trailing Sunset 7-0 entering the fourth quarter on Friday afternoon at Gardens High School

But led by quarterback Juwel Laguerre, the Knights (1-3) pulled away to a 21-0 win. Laguerre scored a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns, the first from 8 yards out with 10:01 left in the game to extend his team’s lead to 14-0 and the last from a yard out with three minutes left. Laguerre finished the day with 130 yards on 18 carries.

He completed 7 of 11 passes for 131 yards.
