Lashone Garnett’s four TDs powers Southridge vs. Goleman

Lashone Garnett rushed for four touchdowns in a 47-0 victory by Southridge against Goleman (0-3) Thursday night at Southridge Park.
“I just saw a lot of cutbacks and a lot of holes,” Garnett said. “My receivers were blocking for me out there and the O-line is getting stronger every day.”
Garnett picked up his first score on a 7-yard run and scored again when his next carry went for 51 yards. Receiver Freddie Pinder scored the only touchdown catch of the game on a 33-yard pass from Drakar Jerry. The Spartans (1-2) led 20-0 at the end of the first quarter.
In the second quarter, the Spartans got a score on another 7-yard run by Garnett. In the third quarter, Garnett scored his fourth touchdown on a 20-yard run. Two more rushing touchdowns were added in the fourth quarter.
The Southridge defense was solid all game and only allowed Goleman two first downs, 61 rushing yards and no completed passes.
Garnett finished the game with 103 yards on eight carries. Jerry passed for 94 yards and rushed for 82 yards. As a team, the Spartans rushed for 237 yards on 18 carries. Julio Seaone led the Gators with 30 rushing yards.
