Kimani Rushing led a 1-2-3 finish in the 300 hurdles, won the 100 hurdles and the triple jump, and finished second in the long jump, and Antwuan Musgrove won the 300 hurdles and the 110 high hurdles to help the Hallandale boys’ and girls’ track teams earn a rare sweep of the Class 2A team state titles.

Jenna Goodrich, American Heritage, softball: Goodrich threw a two-hitter, struck out 13 and walked two to lead the Patriots (24-1-1) over Mount Dora 2-0 in a Class 5A regional final.

Louie Yovino, St. Thomas Aquinas, boys’ lacrosse: Yovino had three goals to lead the Raiders (21-0) over Boca St. Andrew’s 14-5 in the state semifinal.
Gentry Fortuno, Flanagan, baseball: The winning ace scattered four hits and struck out nine in 11 innings to lead the Falcons (20-5) over Hialeah 1-0 in the Class 8A regional quarterfinals.
Desir Sanders, Westminster Academy, boys’ track and field: Sanders won the 300-meter hurdles and finished second in the 110-meter hurdles to help the Lions win its second consecutive Class 1A state title by edging Orlando First Academy 69-68.5
Krystal Sparling and Diamond Spaulding, St. Thomas Aquinas, girls’ track and field: Sparling (100 meters) and Spaulding (200 meters) each won individual titles and teamed up on winning 1,600-relay and 400-relay teams to help the Raiders win their 11th state championships and third consecutive title.
Camora Sanders and Damion Thomas Jr., Northeast, track and field: Sanders won the shot put and finished second in discus and Thomas won the 110 hurdles.
Trevon Grimes, St. Thomas Aquinas, boys’ track and field: Grimes won the 300-meter hurdles and finished second in the 110-meter hurdles at the Class 4A state finals.
Isaiah Taylor, West Broward, boys’ track and field: The Miami signee became the Bobcats’ first state track champion when he won the Class 4A 100-meter title in a Florida No. 3 10.48 seconds.
Sami Feller, Douglas, softball: Feller (14-5) allowed one earned run in a 3-1 victory over Park Vista in the Class 8A regional finals.
