Michael Harris threw six touchdown passes, all in the first half, as the visiting Knights clinched a spot in a playoff tiebreaker with a victory against the winless Jaguars in a District 11-8A game.
Monarch (7-2, 5-2) got the help it needed from Deerfield Beach, which defeated South Plantation in the other district matchup, setting up a three-way tie for second between the Knights, Taravella and South Plantation, which also have two district losses. The teams will play the tiebreaker, which will be hosted by Monarch due to the Knights having the best overall record among the teams, Monday night.
The Knights led 48-6 at halftime.
Harris (13 of 22 for 280 yards) threw three touchdown passes to Calvin Ridley, covering 60, 35 and 25 yards as Monarch jumped out to a 28-0 first-quarter lead. The second half was played with a running clock.
