Everglades spoils Cooper City’s senior night

Everglades’ Saibyn Ruff and Xavier Love combined for 262 rushing yards and three touchdowns as the Gators spoiled the Cowboys’ senior night in a District 12-8A matchup.
Ruff led the Gators (4-5, 2-4) with 143 yards on 21 carries and Love had 115 yards on 20 carries, including a game-sealing 4-yard touchdown with 3:31 left.
Cooper City (3-6, 2-3) had come to within two at 25-23 early in the fourth quarter on a 30-yard pass from Quest Hopler to Lukas Volpe on the previous possession.
Ruff scored twice for the Gators, reaching the end zone on a 7-yard reception from Jabari Alvin and on a 6-yard run. Love opened the scoring with a 9-yard run.
