In a battle of former perennial powerhouses, the visiting Tigers scored two touchdowns in the final minute for a come-from-behind victory to take the driver’s seat in the four-team District 14-7A matchup.
The Tigers (2-5, 2-0) never tasted the lead until 53 seconds left when quarterback Nelson Ervin threw a 21-yard touchdown pass to Laderrick Smith to complete a clutch 76-yard scoring drive that started with 2:12 left.
Just seven seconds later, Ely picked off BA quarterback Nathaniel Watson to seal the victory for Blanche Ely.
