Natrone Barnes picks up 2 INTs as Aquinas rolls Northeast

The visiting Raiders (5-1) scored on all their possessions with eight touchdowns and a field goal to outclass the Hurricanes (1-5) in a nondistrict matchup between Class 7A schools.
The St. Thomas defense had five takeaways, including two by safety Natrone Barnes on interceptions. Barnes also scored the game’s final touchdown on a 50-yard punt return.
With the offense working on a short field, the Raiders gained 289 total yards to Northeast’s 177.
Wade Freebeck completed 11 of 19 passes for 127 yards and touchdown passes to Jawuan Harris and Raymond Palhegyi.
St. Thomas led 32-6 at halftime. Mardre London (68 yards on eight carries) scored both of his rushing touchdowns in the first half. Northeast’s lone score came late in the second quarter on a Dangelo Fulford 37-yard touchdown pass to Alvyns Alcenord.
