Sony Michel ran for 125 yards and scored twice to lead American Heritage (3-1) past host Chaminade-Madonna on Friday afternoon.
Senior linebacker Brandon Vicens started at quarterback for Heritage, which was without starting quarterback Torrance Gibson (concussion).
Vicens threw a 16-yard touchdown pass to Dallas Perez in traffic late in the first half to help Heritage build a 13-0 lead at halftime.
Chaminade (0-3) never crossed midfield on offense and punted eight times. The Lions produced 101 yards of total offense.
Heritage safety Carter Jacobs had an interception and also picked up a key first down to setup the Patriots’ first score.
Serving as the holder on a field-goal attempt, Jacobs ran back to catch a ball snapped over his head and evaded tacklers for a 7-yard pickup and a first down.
