Calvary Christian takes down North Broward in girls’ volleyball

Calvary Christian remains undefeated through its first seven games of the season.

The Eagles took down North Broward in consecutive sets 25-6, 25-19, 25-13.

Alexa Romagnolo led the way for Calvary with 24 digs, two aces and 14 points.

Nicole Navarro added four kills, two digs and a block.

•  Pompano d. Western 25-20, 26-24, 26-28, 25-23: Amanda Medlock 21 digs, 14 kills, 3 aces, 2 points. Taylor Calder 7 kills, 2 blocks, 19 digs. WES 4-1.
•  Calvary Christian d. North Broward 25-6, 25-19, 25-13: Alexa Romagnolo 24 digs, 2 aces, 14 points. Nicole Navarro 4 kills, block, 2 digs, 3 points. CC 7-0.
•  Sagemont d. Dade Christian 25-6, 25-12, 25-17: Nikki Rodriguez 27 points, 9 assists, 6 kills. Maddy Llewelyn 9 digs. SM 3-3.
•  Coral Springs Charter d. University School 25-15, 19-25, 25-19, 25-17: Kaela Fennell-Chin 9 kills, 15 digs. US 1-2.
•  Boca High d. Pine Crest 19-25, 25-22, 20-25, 19-25: For PC: Lauren Houle 14 kills, 15 digs, 2 aces. Kylie Bruder 40 assists, 16 digs. PC 3-3.
•  Highlands Christian d. FAU High 25-10, 25-9, 25-16: Brooke Gray 6 points, 12 assists. Taylor Mineo 8 points, 3 blocks, 8 kills. HC 2-4.

BOYS’ SWIMMING

•  Grandview 78, North Broward 19: For GV: Manuel Avila, Tommy Kloosterman, Mitch Posk and Stephen Solomakho won the 200 Medley Relay. Ricky Rose, Albin Enestrom, Solomakho and Kloosterman won the 200 Free Relay. Avila also won the 200 Free, 100 Free. Kloosterman also won the 200 IM. Posk also won the 500 Free. For NB: Anton Voronin won the 50 Free.

GIRLS’ SWIMMING

•  Grandview 57, North Broward 51: For GV: Autumn Ledgin won the 200 IM. Justine Andal won the 100 Free. Caitlen Macias, Marcella Botero, Andal and Ledgin won the 200 Free Relay. Botero also won the 100 Breast. For NB: Anna-Lena Herzig, Anastasia Vladimirova, Geena Squartino and Taylor Early won the 200 Medley Relay. Squartino also won the 200 Free, 100 Back. Early also won the 50 Free, 500 Free. Herzig also won the 100 Fly.

GIRLS’ GOLF
