Woburn, England (SportsNetwork.com) - Colin Montgomerie finished off his third round in the 60s with a 67 on Sunday and he coasted to a comfortable 10-shot victory to win his second straight Travis Perkins Masters.
Montgomerie, who set the record for winning margin at this event last year after coming out on top by six shots, eclipsed his own record after finishing at 12-under 204.
Last year's win at this event was Montgomerie's first on the European Senior Tour. He has since won two more times, making this victory his fourth on tour.
Montgomerie started to spread the gap early with a birdie on one, but he gave that shot back with a bogey on three. Two more birdies on the front nine at six and eight had Montgomerie at 2-under as he made the turn.
The 51-year-old Scotsman did not slow down on the back nine as he made three more gains on 11, 13 and 18 to go along with six pars to win comfortably.
Gordon Mason (67), Tim Thelen (71) and Andre Bossert (71) were the next closest to Montgomerie at 2-under 214, while Peter Fowler (72) and Mike Cunning (74) were the only other players to finish under par. Fowler and Cunning ended at 1-under.
