Fiji (SportsNetwork.com) - Steven Jeffress closed with a 2-under 70 on Sunday to win the inaugural Fiji International.

Jeffress, who hit the first tee shot of the tournament on Thursday, ended at 10-under-par 278 at Natadola Bay Championship Golf Course.

The Australian trailed countryman Jake Higginbottom by two strokes at the turn. However, Higginbottom stumbled to bogeys at 10 and 13 to fall into a share of the lead.

The 15th proved to be the turning point as Jeffress converted a birdie chance and Higginbottom tripped to a bogey to fall two behind.

Jeffress went on to win by four. Higginbottom stumbled to a 2-over 74 and ended alone in second at minus-6. Terry Pilkadaris (71) and Andrew Dodt (76) shared third at 2-under 286.

Course designer and Fiji native Vijay Singh posted a 1-over 73 in the final round and finished 10th place at 2-over 290.
