Dolphins CB Davis injures quad

The Sports Network

Miami Dolphins rookie cornerback Vontae Davis suffered a quadriceps injury during the first half of Sunday's game against New England.

The first-round pick from Illinois made a juggling interception in the first quarter on Sunday before leaving the contest. He returned late in the second quarter.

Davis, who returned his first NFL interception for a touchdown October 4 against Buffalo, moved into the starting lineup last week after Will Allen was lost for the season with a torn ACL two weeks ago against New Orleans.
