Miami Dolphins keys to the game

PATRIOTS OFFENSIVE LINE VS. DOLPHINS PASS RUSH

Who won: Patriots.

Impact: Two snapshots -- New England quarterback Tom Brady so used to having no Dolphins pressure that he held the ball way too long and took a sack by Randy Starks; and Brady looking downfield, dropping the ball to his hip casually like it was a no-rush backyard family football game, looking some more, then finally throwing. With such little pressure, Brady sat back and threw for 332 yards.

DOLPHINS CB VONTAE DAVIS VS. PATRIOTS WR RANDY MOSS

Who won: Moss.

Impact: Davis came up with his big play, an interception on the Patriots' opening drive. Moss came up with two big plays: a 36-yard catch that led to a touchdown and a 71-yard touchdown on which he stiff-armed Davis as he galloped away. He also caught a two-point conversion after the 71-yarder, which gave the Patriots the lead for good late in the third quarter.

PATRIOTS RUN DEFENSE VS. DOLPHINS BLOCKING

Who won: Draw.

Impact: The first half, the Dolphins couldn't handle New England's Vince Wilfork, Ty Warren or Tully Banta-Cain. Two big exceptions that masked the difficulties were Pat White's 33-yard option run and Ricky Williams' 15-yard run with an option pitch. The Dolphins grounded out 36 yards on six carries in the fourth quarter yet got away from the run for a couple of important plays.
