NXT Day on Wednesday, July 22 at Tradition Field was postponed because of rain.
NXT champ Finn Balor, Bayley and Braun Stowman made the trip from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, but when they arrived in Port St. Lucie, the game between the host St. Lucie Mets and Brevard County Manatees was rained out, before it even started, canceling the special NXT event.
A couple of fans weathered the rainy conditions, driving from as far as Miami to meet the NXT standouts. Balor, Bayley and Stowman sent them home happy by meeting them in front of the ball park to sign autographs and pose for photos.
The St. Lucie Mets and Brevard County Manatees are Class A minor league baseball teams competing in the Florida State League.
WWE NXT is a professional wrestling development branch of the WWE, based in Orlando. Several NXT wrestlers have been promoted to WWE, including Adrian Neville who visited the Mets at Tradition Field last year.
NXT has developed into its own brand, and the NXT talent appearances at Tradition Field promote NXT shows at the Havert L. Fenn Center in Fort Pierce.
