Craig Bottongino of Sunrise won the ‘Be a Superstar Dad’ contest for tickets to WWE Monday Night Raw on July 21 at the AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami.
Craig and his daughter, Alexis, 7, enjoyed the show.
Craig, who showed his support for Bray Wyatt and the Wyatt Family, expressed his appreciation to WWE.
“We had an amazing time,” he said. “I bought the [sheep’s] mask at the show, and I also bought Alexis a Divas title belt, a program and an autographed photo of Roman Reigns. It was an experience we will never forget.”
Family members and friends nominated South Florida ‘Superstar Dads’ for the WWE contest in conjunction with The Miami Herald.
A random drawing from eligible nominees determined the winner.
Craig’s wife, Amelia, nominated him.
She emailed: “My husband Craig Bottongino is an amazing dad to his three children. He has been working three jobs for the past four years so that I can stay home with the kids. Despite that, he always makes time to be there for the kids and just be an awesome dad. He is a huge wrestling fan and would absolutely love to be able to attend Monday Night Raw. Thank you for considering him as a Superstar Dad.”
Craig likes Chris Jericho and Rob Van Dam, and he really liked The Shield and is a big Roman Reigns fan.
The contest was inspired by the Ad Council and WWE dads like Reigns.
Dads are a very important part of a child's life, and WWE Superstars Alberto Del Rio, Titus O'Neil and Reigns are proving to be Superstar dads, helping to launch the Ad Council's 'Take Time to Be a Dad Today' campaign.
The Ad Council selected WWE to help with the new campaign that encourages fathers to recognize their critical role in a child’s development and gives them the tools to get more involved. WWE Superstars like Del Rio, O'Neil and Reigns are inspiring dads to get more involved in their children’s lives.
