South Florida brought it strong for Ring of Honor on Saturday, Nov. 11 at the War Memorial Auditorium in Fort Lauderdale.
Even some fans from Palm Bay and Orlando made the trek to see The Elite (Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks - Matt and Nick Jackson) and ROH Champ Cody Rhodes of Bullet Club along with Hangman Page and The Villain Marty Scurll.
About 2,000 in attendance, and that's with very limited seating on stage. Line wrapped around the front and side of the building. Plenty of Omega, The Elite and Bullet Club supporting T-shirts in the crowd, and there was a pre-show meet-n-greet, which carried over to intermission and afterward, too (sweet).
Never miss a local story.
The crowd chanted for Tye Dye Guy and Getting Bigger CM Punk (Lil CM Punk) during the match featuring Matt Taven of The Kingdom and Flip Gordon at the Ring of Honor show in Fort Lauderdale.
Taven did a really good job working the crowd and Punk and Tye Dye, even getting in Tye Dye’s face. Tye Dye -- in his customary Hulk Hogan garb -- did not back down. Punk stood up as Taven burst through the ropes and pointed at him.
ROH Champ Cody Rhodes also did well interacting with fans, thanking them and teasing them.
It's Media Go Time before doors open for Ring of Honor at the War Memorial Auditorium in Fort Lauderdale.
Available talent included The Elite (Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks), Bullet Club member and ROH Champ Cody Rhodes, Bully Ray and wrestler/comic book writer Christopher Daniels with Kaz.

Ring of Honor announcers Ian Riccaboni and Colt Cabana raised funds for hurricane relief efforts in Puerto Rico before ROH shows in Fort Lauderdale (War Memorial Auditorium) and Lakeland (RP Funding Center).
Cody successfully defended his title against Rocky Romero at the War Memorial Auditorium in Fort Lauderdale. During the later stages of his career, his father, the late, great American Dream Dusty Rhodes actually worked an ECW show at the War Memorial Auditorium in 2000 teaming with Tommy Dreamer against Steve Corino (with Jack Victory) and Rhino. In 2002, Dusty battled Corino and Terry Funk in a three-way for MLW at the War Memorial.
The main event did not disappoint in Fort Lauderdale with ROH Six-Man Tag Champs The Elite (Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks - Matt and Nick Jackson) against ROH TV Champ Kenny King, Jay Lethal and Dalton Castle.
Hangman Page and The Villain Marty Scurll of Bullet Club got involved during the fracas. After the match, former ROH Champ Christopher Daniels and the Heavy Metal Rebel Kazarian made a run-in, which resulted in an Elite Superkick Party.
