The Irish Lass Kicker Becky Lynch lived a dream by becoming the first WWE SmackDown women’s world champion on Sunday, Sept. 11 during WWE Backlash, a SmackDown brand pay-per-view also on WWE Network from the Richmond Coliseum in Richmond, Va.
Lynch, a native of Dublin, Ireland, won a six-pack challenge to reach that goal at what could now be renamed WWE BackLass.
Competitors in this competitive matchup: Nikki Bella, Alexa Bliss, Carmella, Naomi, Natalya and Lynch.

Naomi eliminated Bliss with help from Natalya off a powerbomb/neckbreaker combo.
Natalya then eliminated Naomi with a sharpshooter.
Bella eliminated Natalya with a fireman’s carry cutter.
Carmella surprised Bella with a roll-up pin,
So then there were two ... two NXT alums battling for the prestigious belt.
Lynch used a Dis-arm-her (seated Fujiwara armbar) to defeat Carmella and bring home the title to her allegiance of Lass Kickers.

In honor of Ms. Lynch winning the inaugural WWE SmackDown women’s title, I reflect on a time when the fiery red-head joined WWE in NXT and graciously gave her time for an interview where I learned she loved lettuce -- a plain, crisp head of lettuce.
