Should the Dolphins get the ball more to Ronnie Brown and Ted Ginn Jr., who get fewer touches than many other No. 1 running backs and receivers?
TThe Dolphins are back on the NFL's grand stage Monday, much to the delight of their players who grew up watching Monday Night Football, and ESPN, which appreciates the franchise's national following.
As Dolphins great Mark Duper watched prize pupil Leonard Hankerson and UM's other receivers against Florida State, he marveled at what he saw.
What's the view of the Dolphins among prominent national voices? There's a bit of skepticism, but more who say they will be good again, though not as good as New England. CBS' Phil Simms, NBC's Cris Collinsworth and Sirius Radio's John Madden predict Miami will be the AFC East's clear-cut No. 2 team.
NFL opening weekend TV talk:
It's premature to draw many conclusions from preseason, but here's one we can safely make: ESPN elevated its Monday night booth by replacing Tony Kornheiser with Jon Gruden, partly because Kornheiser was ill-suited for the job.A six-pack of Dolphins buzz:

So far, coach Tony Sparano said his line has not played up to his standards, and new center Jake Grove said ``we need to be better.''What's the view on Randy Shannon -- inside and outside the program -- as he enters his third season as UM's coach with a 12-13 record?
Lee Corso knew something was wrong as soon as he went outside to pick up the newspaper on his lawn that May morning.

With two preseason games left, 34 Dolphins players remain in contention for about 25 roster spots on defense, with the possibility of one or two players added after other teams make cuts. Assessing the battles:
Though Carlos Boozer wants to be traded to the Heat, Miami has put the issue on the back-burner, at least for now.
``We listen to all inquiries but there is nothing going on,'' Heat president Pat Riley said Tuesday about Boozer, his first public statement since June. The last time The Miami Herald conducted a sportscaster poll, Tony Segreto was anchoring local sports, Pat Summerall was calling NFL games with John Madden, and Hank Goldberg was venting on talk radio. So we figured it was time for another poll!
After buying out the contract of longtime midday host Neil Rogers last week, WQAM-560 is targeting Sid Rosenberg to replace him. And the interest is mutual.
