GAINESVILLE -- Florida might be a heavy favorite against rival Florida State this weekend, but coach Urban Meyer won't be taking anything for granted.

He knows firsthand what kind of talent the Seminoles have on their roster, notably a pair of playmakers who spurned Meyer to wear the garnet and gold.

FSU receiver Bert Reed and cornerback Greg Reid were longtime verbal commits to Florida, but both wound up signing with Bobby Bowden's squad, and Meyer won't take either player lightly Saturday.

``What makes FSU dangerous is their athletes,'' Meyer said. ``I wish they didn't have good players, and then they wouldn't be a serious threat. It's all about personnel, and this team we're playing has excellent -- not [just] good -- personnel. We recruited every one of those guys.

``Bert Reed is a perfect example. He's a dynamic player, and if you give him an open space, he can beat you.''

Reed leads the Noles in receiving with 671 yards on 53 catches, and Reid has provided a spark as a return man. His 48-yard punt return set up FSU's winning touchdown drive Saturday against Maryland.

Kickoff is at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville.
