Florida State's Greg Reid stalking the Florida Gators

TALLAHASSEE -- Freshman cornerback Greg Reid punctuated the end of Wednesday's practice with a big play and some big talk: After intercepting a pass on the final play of the workout inside Doak Campbell Stadium, Reid talked about the excitement he has felt all week -- about playing the nation's No. 1 team and facing a program he was committed to for most of his senior year at Lowndes (Ga.) High School.
``Ever since the clock hit zero against Maryland, my focus went to Florida,'' Reid said. ``I know how big it is. It's my first game against Florida. During my senior year,
I thought I was going to be playing in The Swamp, not playing against the Gators.
``I'm gonna have fun, I know that.''
Reid, who leads the nation in punt-
return average, said he doesn't expect Florida coach Urban Meyer to kick away from him Saturday.
``I know he wants to kind of get some payback,'' Reid said, alluding to the fact that Meyer was not pleased that he decommitted from the Gators and signed with the Seminoles.
``I hope he brings it. I hope they punt the ball to me maybe three or four times. And out of them, I'm gonna take one of them to the house, I know that for sure.''
