TALLAHASSEE -- With a date Saturday against a Clemson team that leads the Atlantic Coast Conference in pass defense, FSU was pleased to see two key offensive players working at full speed Thursday.

Junior quarterback Christian Ponder saw his most extensive action since sustaining bruised ribs last Saturday, and senior receiver Richard Goodman continued his comeback from a groin injury.

``I got a lot of work in today,'' Ponder said. ``It was good. I'm definitely feeling a lot better than expected. Yeah, it's sore, but I'll be all right.''

Goodman, who is third on the team with 355 receiving yards, hasn't played since aggravating the injury on a touchdown reception against Georgia Tech last month.

A TOUGH TICKET TO GET

Senior linebacker Dekoda Watson will be making his final college return to his home state of South Carolina on Saturday.

``I'm still working on my ticket requests, and that's taking a little longer than I expected,'' Watson said. ``But it's going to be fun to go home.''

Watson said he has 30 ticket requests from family and friends, but he only had secured 13 from teammates as of Thursday.
