Nova men's soccer loses
Phil Middleton and Ryan Maloney scored, and the Embry-Riddle men's soccer team ended Nova Southeastern's five-game home winning streak with a 2-0 victory Saturday night.
The Sharks (6-5-0) finished with 14 shots, including eight in the second half. Embry-Riddle is 7-3-1.
Akron 3, FAU 0: Jeremy Crumpton made four saves and Erick Espinosa had a shot on goal for host FAU against Akron (9-0).
VOLLEYBALL
Barry def. Florida Tech 25-22, 25-23, 12-25, 22-25, 15-9: Julia Teixiera had 15 kills and 20 digs, Julia Ridley had 15 kills and Lovisa Johansson had a career-high 12 kills for visiting Barry (10-4, 2-3 Sunshine State Conference). Florida Tech is 6-9 and 0-6.
Rollins def. Nova Southeastern 15-25, 25-21, 17-25, 25-23, 15-6: Natalie Branche had 15 kills and Carly Perschnick had 13 for visiting Nova (1-7, 2-3 SSC). Rollins is 13-6 and 2-4.
