FIU's Reams, Levine to play Saturday

ghylton@MiamiHerald.com

Coach Mario Cristobal said after practice that running back Julian Reams and offensive tackle Andy Leavine were 100 percent and ready to play Saturday at North Texas.

He said defensive lineman Cody Pellicer will be healthy enough to play next week after seeing a doctor about his injured hand.

Cristobal also named defensive back Marshall McDuffie, offensive lineman Brad Serini and freshman receiver/kick returner T.Y. Hilton as team captains for Saturday's game.

• Cristobal has nothing but respect for North Texas coach Todd Dodge, who, like Cristobal, is in his second year of trying to rebuild a program.

''This is a monster challenge,'' Cristobal said. ``I know that man has coached tremendous football for a long, long time.''
