FIU baseball tops Louisiana-Monroe

Corey Polizzano pitched seven innings and Ryan Mollica hit an inside-the-park homer to lead host FIU (15-29, 7-12 Sun Belt) past Louisiana-Monroe 9-6 on Friday.
The Golden Panthers, who upset UM earlier this week, won their third game in a row.
Polizzano (4-5) allowed nine hits and four runs with three walks and seven strikeouts in seven innings. Mollica extended his hitting streak to 27 games, also doubling twice and finishing with three RBI.
Kevin Mirabal went 2 for 4 with a home run and three RBI.
Louisiana-Monroe is 28-13, 17-5.
