The Florida Gators are unranked in the preseason Associated Press Top 25 for the second year in a row. UF received just four votes in the poll, which was released Sunday.
Coach Jim McElwain has his work cut out for him in his first season, too, as half of Florida’s regular-season opponents are ranked. The Gators’ schedule features No. 9 Georgia, No. 10 Florida State, No. 14 LSU, No. 17 Ole Miss, No. 24 Missouri and No. 25 Tennessee.
Florida’s slate includes a brutal gauntlet of five consecutive game against ranked teams, starting Sep. 26 with home date against the Volunteers.
