Cam Akers and Jacques Patrick each ran for two touchdowns as FSU won its third straight game to secure a bowl bid with a 42-10 win over ULM. Patrick ran for 155 yards and Akers added 117 yards as the Seminoles (6-6) accumulated 305 rushing yards.
With the desperate Gators turning to Randy Shannon and the embarrassed Seminoles at 2-5, it seems especially strange that many Hurricanes fans are complaining that UM’s 7-0 record hasn’t been dominant enough.
UM and FSU already had one football game canceled because of Hurricane Irma and had to postpone their annual clash. Now, a new storm is threatening Tallahassee, site of the 3:30 p.m. rivalry game Saturday between the two teams.
