Two of the generation's best pound for pound boxers, Bernard Hopkins and Roy Jones Jr., are set to tangle in a long awaited rematch.

The fight will take place in 2010, but only if the 40-year-old Jones upends IBO cruiserweight champion Danny Green in December.

Jones (54-5, 40 KOs) defeated Hopkins (49-5-1, 32 KOs) in a unanimous decision for the middleweight title in 1993.

The 45-year old Hopkins recovered from that loss to claim the middleweight crown and hold it for over a decade.

The Philadelphia native had 20 successful title defenses, including knockout wins over Felix Trinidad and Oscar de la Hoya, before losing two razor close decisions to Jermain Taylor. "The Executioner" is 3-1 since those fights, which includes handing Kelly Pavlik his first ever loss in October 2008.

Jones -- a former middleweight, super middleweight, light heavyweight and heavyweight champ -- has recovered from a debilitating three-fight skid to win five of his last six bouts, the last a defeat of Jeff Lacy on August 15.
