Lynx reach buyout with former All-Star DeForge; set roster

The Sports Network

The Minnesota Lynx reached a buyout agreement with guard Anna DeForge on Friday and set their roster for the 2009 seasons by waiving two others and placing Kathrin Ress on the suspended list.

A former All-Star and seven-year WNBA veteran, DeForge signed as a free agent with the Lynx prior to last season and averaged 8.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 34 games.

Waived from the roster were 2009 third-round draft pick guard Emily Fox and center Tye'sha Fluker, who signed a training camp contract on June 1.

Ress was placed on the suspended list due to Italian national Team obligations.
