The Oklahoma City Thunder will try to halt an 11-game losing streak to the Houston Rockets tonight, when the two teams get together at the Ford Center.
The Thunder haven't beaten Houston since they were located in Seattle back on April 4, 2006, while the Rockets have won 17 of the past 18 matchups between the teams and five straight as the guest.
Oklahoma City has won two in a row and opened a five-game homestand with Friday's 108-90 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks. Young star Kevin Durant netted 33 points and pulled down 12 rebounds, while Russell Westbrook chipped in 20 points, seven assists and six rebounds for the Thunder, who have eclipsed the century mark in each of their last five victories.
Jeff Green added 17 points and James Harden netted 15 off the bench in a winning effort. Oklahoma City is 4-3 at home this season and will also host the 76ers, Celtics and Warriors on the residency. Thunder forward Nick Collison is questionable for Sunday with a swollen right knee.
Meanwhile, the Rockets have lost two straight and three of four games, including Friday's 92-84 setback to the San Antonio Spurs in the finale of a three-game homestand at the Toyota Center.
Luis Scola ended with 18 points and 12 rebounds for the Rockets, who scored a season-low 12 points in the third quarter on their way to a season-worst 84 points. Trevor Ariza finished with 17 points and a season-best 11 rebounds in a losing effort.
"It's a tough loss. We had a stretch in the third quarter and again we could not make a shot. I thought we were getting good looks, we stayed in it and battled back. We got it to three once and then to two. That stretch in the third quarter just really hurt us," said Houston head coach Rick Adelman.
Houston will kick off a four-game road trip Sunday against the Thunder, Clippers, Warriors and Trail Blazers, and is 4-4 as the visitor this season.
