The Chicago Bulls resume a grueling six-game road trip in Portland Monday against the Trail Blazers.

The Bulls fell to 1-2 on their trek Saturday in Denver when Carmelo Anthony just missed a triple-double, finishing with 30 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists, as the Nuggets used a big fourth quarter to upend Chicago, 112-93.

Derrick Rose posted 28 points for the Bulls, who also received a 22-point effort from Luol Deng. Joakim Noah logged 10 points and eight rebounds in the loss, the club's second straight.

"I thought that we had this game. We had a big lead early," Rose said. "They're a good team, and some of their key players stepped up and made big shots for them."

Chicago will finish its trip with visits to Utah and Milwaukee.

Portland, meanwhile, won the opener of a four-game homestand on Saturday when Martell Webster topped six Trail Blazers players in double figures with 21 points while bringing down 13 rebounds, as Portland handed Minnesota its 12th straight loss in a 106-78 blowout at the Rose Garden.

Webster was inserted into the starting lineup in place of veteran guard Andre Miller because of his three-point shooting marksmanship and he responded by draining 4-of-7 from beyond the arc.

Brandon Roy posted 18 points, and Greg Oden scored 16 for the Blazers, who have won two of the last three. Steve Blake and Joel Przybilla each notched 14 points and LaMarcus Aldridge 10 in the win.

It was the Trail Blazers' 11th consecutive win over the hapless T'Wolves.

"It's been a while since we've seen guys make shots. Tonight we were knocking down our shots, open looks, shots we've had in other games," remarked Blazers head coach Nate McMillan. "Tonight we were knocking those shots down. We're very capable of knocking those shots down and we just have to keep taking them."

Portland, which has won four straight games against the Bulls, will finish its homestand with bouts against New Jersey and Memphis.
