Hawks' Johnson, Clippers' Kaman earn NBA weekly honors

Atlanta Hawks guard Joe Johnson and Los Angeles Clippers center Chris Kaman were named the NBA's Eastern and Western Conference players of the week, respectively, for the period ending November 8.
In four games, Johnson averaged 20.0 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.3 assists to help the Hawks to a 3-1 record. Atlanta recorded road wins against Portland and Sacramento, and ended the week with a home victory over Denver on Saturday.
Kaman averaged nearly a double-double in three contests, posting 24.3 points and 9.7 boards per game. He shot more than 57 percent from the field and also posted six total blocks as the Clippers went 3-0.
Other nominees were Charlotte's Gerald Wallace, Cleveland's LeBron James, Dallas' Dirk Nowitzki, Detroit's Ben Gordon, L.A. Lakers' Kobe Bryant, Miami's Dwyane Wade, Sacramento's Jason Thompson and Toronto's Chris Bosh.
